Melbourne Day Rocks 181

To celebrate Melbourne Day 2016, the city put on a free birthday concert at Federation Square, featuring some iconic Melbourne music legends. The weather did not dampen the spirits of the crowd who sang along to their favourite songs.

  • Ross Wilson: Eagle Rock plus other Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock classics.

  • Jack Howard: Hunters & Collectors' anthem Holy Grail — and a special, new song he has written about Melbourne, especially for Melbourne Day, calledHome is Where the Heart is. (Listen now.)

  • Lisa Edwards with Michael Cristiano: John Farnham's smash You're the Voice.

  • Get your free birthday cupcake (while they last)!

  • Cutting of a giant birthday cake, made by Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses.

  • Melbourne Water's Vinnie the Platypus

  • MC Craig 'Huggy' Huggins from GOLD104 FM.
