On 31 August our city will celebrate its181st birthday, the day the Enterprise ship sailed into Melbourne and founded the city. The activities start at 9 am with the Flag Raising Ceremony at Enterprize Park followed by the free lunchtime Melbourne day concert in Federation Square, headlined by Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool, Mondo Rock), Jack Howard (Hunters & Collectors) and Lisa Edwards (John Farnham Band).
I took this image at last years Flag Raising Ceremony at Enterprize Park, the spot where the first Europeans landed on 30th August 1835.
