Lights for the Wild - Vivid Sydney 2017 - Night 1

Updated: Feb 9, 2020

Vivid Sydney’s wildest precinct was back at Taronga Zoo Sydney when it was lit up again for Australia’s most colourful festival!

The stunning grounds of Taronga Zoo Sydney were lit up with giant multimedia light sculptures. The magnificent Sumatran Tiger, the vividly coloured Marine Turtle, a swarm of tiny buzzing bees and a giant Port Jackson Shark that will literally swallow you whole —plus a whole cast of other captivating creatures that sparkled in the night.

Each of these incredible installations and light sculptures tells a fascinating tale about conservation. Taronga is working to help save 10 species from extinction over the next 10 years.
