This year for the first time I entered some of my images in the Annual Focus Awards. I submitted five entries and I am pretty excited to have received 4 Bronze Awards from my submissions.
The annual Focus Awards is one of the most popular amateur photography competitions in Australia and in 2016 it attracted 1,800 entries.
The Focus Awards are designed to encourage photographers at all stages of development to improve their skills and confidence. As such, every entry into the Focus Awards receives a judges’ feedback comment. This sets the Focus Awards apart from most other leading photography competitions.
For me this is a good starting point with this competition to help improve my work and quality of images. The competition is pretty tough with a very high standard of images to compete against.
