It was hot, hot hot at the 2019 Midsumma Festival Pride March as temperatures soared to a scorching high.
Participants from the LGBTI community came with an attitude of "I Will Survive" as they strolled, wheeled and sashayed down Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. It was such a colourful event with rainbows in full force and participants donning police uniforms, ball gowns, leotards, winter medieval garb and tiny speedos.
Before the March Premier Andrews made the announcement at the Pride March press conference that Gay Conversion Therapy will become illegal in Victoria in the very near future.
We were positioned outside Robarta Bar on Fitzroy Street it was a great location to catch all the action as it went past. It was also a great place to escape the heat and have a cool drink.
