The last two nights there have been dramatic cloud formations known as Cumulonimbus or thunderstorm clouds over the Mornington Peninsula. These huge clouds were illuminated by lightening strikes and the reflection of the red sunset tonight. I couldn’t resist going down to take a closer look and capturing their spectacular formations.
The cumulonimbus cloud, is a convective cloud or cloud system that produces rainfall and lightning.
